Food Cowboy’s mission is to reduce food waste, thereby reducing hunger and improving the environment.

Our goal is to encourage the best use of wholesome unmarketable food. We can accomplish this through our partnerships with food companies, food charities, and other waste diverters with a focus on bridging the technology, communication and infrastructure gap that results in large amounts of food waste.

• Through our hotline we help connect food donors with non-profit organizations who provide meals or groceries to food insecure people, the elderly or children.
• Through mentoring and technical assistance we help communities develop their own programs to reduce waste and reduce food insecurity.
• Through education and awareness campaigns we educate businesses, community organizations and consumers about food waste and sustainability.
